About this policy

FuelFind is operated by the independent FuelFind developer (“FuelFind”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how the FuelFind mobile app and website handle information.

Information we use

Location information

If you choose “Locate me”, FuelFind requests foreground access to your device’s approximate or precise location. Your coordinates are used to identify your area, find nearby fuel stations, calculate distance, and return relevant fuel prices. You can instead select an area manually. FuelFind does not request background location or access location when the app is not in use.

Saved preferences

Your confirmed location selection may be stored locally on your device. You can remove it by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

Search requests

Your fuel type, location label, and coordinates are sent securely to FuelFind’s service only when needed to perform a search or convert coordinates into an address. We do not require an account and do not intentionally collect your name, phone number, contacts, payment details, or advertising identifier.

How information is used

To show nearby fuel prices and stations.
To calculate distance to stations.
To convert coordinates into a readable location.
To operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.

FuelFind does not sell personal information or use location information for advertising.

Service providers and official data sources

Search information may be processed by our hosting provider and mapping, routing, geocoding, or official fuel-price services. These may include Google Maps, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim, OSRM, the Australian Government address geocoder, MyFuel NT, FuelWatch WA, FuelCheck NSW/ACT, and FuelCheck Tasmania. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy terms.

Retention and security

FuelFind does not maintain user profiles or a permanent history of individual fuel searches. Search responses may be cached temporarily. Infrastructure providers may retain limited technical logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We use encrypted HTTPS connections where supported.

Your choices

You may deny or revoke location permission in your iPhone, iPad, or Android device settings and select an area manually. You may remove saved preferences by clearing app data where supported or uninstalling the app. Contact us to ask a privacy question or request deletion of information you believe we hold.

Children

FuelFind is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app, its data practices, or legal requirements change. The latest version and effective date will appear here.
